What exactly is Keywords Density?

It is the percentage of Keywords or keyword phrases used to the rest of the content on a web page.

Formula:

Keyword Density = (No of times keywords are used ÷ Total number of words) × 100

To say for example, a web page has 400 words, and it has used a keyword for 8 times, then its keyword density would be 2%.

Best Keyword Density:

There are varied views as to which percentage of keyword density is best for a page; however it is generally agreed upon that Keyword density of 1-3 % is appropriate.
